Football Game Preview: Saddleback Roadrunners vs. Pacific Pirates + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Andre Scott and Ryan Cooper are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Saddleback Roadrunners will take on the Pacific Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saddleback is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Saddleback is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Magnolia: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Roadrunners blew the Sentinels out of the water with a 36-0 final score. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 35 points or more this season.

Fabian Bravo went supernova, rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Zuniga, who gained 115 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Saddleback was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 77.3 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 163.

Saddleback's defense stepped up as well, laying out Nicko Mendoza three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Joseph Mateo, Abel Duenas, and Pablo Guadarrama-Sanchez, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Magnolia's side was Andrik Valenzuela, who forced one fumble and made 12 total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pacific, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 21-14 win over Indian Springs on Friday.

Saddleback's record is now 8-2. As for Pacific, their record now sits at an identical 8-2.
