Football Game Preview: Clarke County Bulldogs vs. Thomasville Tigers + Official Tickets

Clarke County hasn't had much luck against Thomasville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Clarke County will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Clarke County came out on top against Washington County by a score of 34-21.

Clarke County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peebo Pugh, who rushed for 35 yards and two scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Pugh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Martez Owens, who rushed for 64 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Clarke County proved: they limited Washington County to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Thomasville humbled Greensboro with a 50-16 victory. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Thomasville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Clarke County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Clarke County took a serious blow against Thomasville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 56-7. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Dallas Bryant (who rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
