Basketball Recap: Glascock County Takes a Loss

Glascock County lost against Edmund Burke Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Glascock County Panthers lost 69-46 to the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Edmund Burke Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Redd, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven assists and five boards. Redd is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Reddick, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Glascock County's record is now 6-16. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they moved to 10-9 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Glascock County and Twiggs County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Edmund Burke Academy has lost three straight at home and Monsignor Donovan Catholic five straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
