Basketball Recap: Montello Takes a Loss

Montello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 61-51 to the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers. The Hilltoppers were probably out for revenge after losing 75-49 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Montello's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Palmyra-Eagle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Montello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-55 defeat against Rio on the 10th. As for Palmyra-Eagle, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chesterton Academy at 5:45 p.m. One thing working in Palmyra-Eagle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
