Softball Recap: Rivercrest Colts vs. Manila Lions

Rivercrest can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past the Manila Lions 18-1. With that win, Rivercrest brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Katelyn Ostendorf was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned run off three hits (she also only allowed one walk). Ostendorf has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Ostendorf was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rivercrest got a massive performance out of Addison Woodward, who went 1-for-2 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Raven Powell was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and a stolen base.

Rivercrest is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Manila, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
