Basketball Game Preview: Clearfield Falcons vs. Northridge Knights

Clearfield and Northridge are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Clearfield Falcons will head out to face off against the Northridge Knights at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Clearfield didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Viewmont, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Clearfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gretchen Higley out in front who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Higley a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xiyah Yarbrough, who put up three points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Northridge posted their closest win since December 20, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bonneville, sneaking past 54-51.

Clearfield is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Northridge, their record is now 7-9.

Clearfield beat Northridge 39-30 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clearfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
