Football Game Preview: Lutheran South Lancers vs. Principia/Whitfield

The Lutheran South Lancers will venture away from home to take on Principia/Whitfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Lutheran South turned things around against Confluence Prep Academy/Grand Center Arts Academy on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 49-6. The Lancers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Principia/Whitfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Priory, posting a 68-33 victory. The result was nothing new for Principia/Whitfield, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Principia/Whitfield now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lutheran South, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Lutheran South against Principia/Whitfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
