Baseball Recap: Booneville Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Tishomingo County typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Booneville proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Braves. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly three runs.

Knox Houston was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Colin Flurry was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Booneville is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-13 otherwise. Cade Lott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Booneville lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
