Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley lost to Lancaster back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blackhawks might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-6 to the Flying Arrows, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Myers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lancaster, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coincidentally, River Valley and Lancaster will both be playing Dodgeville the next time they take the field. The Flying Arrows will host the Dodgers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Blackhawks will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
