Basketball Recap: Stanwood Takes a Loss

Stanwood lost against Everett two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stanwood Spartans came up short against the Everett Seagulls, falling 71-51. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Stanwood still got an impressive performance from Cole Thorson, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points. Luke Brennan was another key player, putting up nine points.

Stanwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Everett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Stanwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Lynnwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stanwood is facing Lynnwood at the right time seeing as Lynnwood is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Everett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
