After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mesa Vista, McCurdy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Penasco Panthers 49-46. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Montoya was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-18 en route to 31 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Duran, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

McCurdy pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Penasco, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

McCurdy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 30-23 victory against Mora on the 15th. As for Penasco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-42 win against Escalante on the 15th.
