Softball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against William Blount

While Grace Christian Academy put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for William Blount. Grace Christian Academy blew past William Blount 9-0. Considering the Rams have won three matches by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Brooke Million, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep William Blount off the board. Those hits were Million's first of the season.

On the hitting side, Hannah Hodges was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katherine Mullins, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Grace Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. William Blount's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.

Coming up, Grace Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Franklin Road Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for William Blount, they will welcome Bearden at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
