Basketball Recap: Wheaton Academy Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Wheaton Academy picked up another tournament win on Monday. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over the Morgan Park Mustangs. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Mustangs are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wheaton Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Morgan Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Wheaton Academy will challenge Niles Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Niles Notre Dame has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Morgan Park, they will face off against Metamora at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
