Baseball Recap: Pecos Comes Up Short

Pecos lost against Americas back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pecos Eagles took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Americas Trail Blazers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Javian Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Omar Salgado Jr was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Americas, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Pecos will square off against Clint at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Americas, they will head out to take on Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
