Baseball Recap: Eastside Takes a Loss

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Countryside Christian Minutemen.

Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Curtis Williams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in RBI.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-2. As for Countryside Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Coming up, Eastside will welcome P.K. Yonge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Countryside Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Meadowbrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Countryside Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
