Football Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Lobos vs. Mullen Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Rocky Mountain Lobos will venture away from home to square off against the Mullen Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rocky Mountain is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 4th on Friday. They were beaten by Fairview 63-21. The Lobos were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mullen). They put the hurt on Rangeview with a sharp 52-30 victory on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rocky Mountain better keep an eye on Dante Dupuch. He was instrumental in Mullen's win, rushing for 233 yards and three scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Those 233 rushing yards gave Dupuch a new career-high. Kevin Lewis also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.

Mullen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Mullen's record now sits at 6-4. As for Rocky Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Rocky Mountain lost to Mullen on the road by a decisive 21-7 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2015. Thankfully for the Lobos, Marcus McElroy Jr (who rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
