Baseball Recap: Mountain Home Comes Up Short

Mountain Home lost to Meridian back in March of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Erik Russell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Sonny Lasuen was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Mountain Home now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Meridian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Mountain Home will be taking part in a tournament against Marsh Valley at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Meridian, they will take on Pocatello in a tournament on Thursday.
