Softball Recap: South Point's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If South Point was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Green last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Point fell 10-5 to the Wayne Pioneers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Pointers' undefeated start to the season.

Adyson Copley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaidyn Malone, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Point fell to 2-1. As for Wayne, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Coming up, South Point will host Piketon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wayne, they will face off against Scott at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wayne will need to watch out since Scott has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
