Basketball Recap: Verden's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Verden came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 48-23 margin over the Ninnekah Owls on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Verden's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Ninnekah, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Verden and Ninnekah will both be playing Amber-Pocasset the next time they take the court. The Owls will head out to face the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
