Softball Game Preview: Ashland Hornets vs. Hodgdon Hawks

Ashland hasn't had much luck against Hodgdon recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Hornets will welcome the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Hodgdon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ashland, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Ashland made easy work of Central Aroostook and carried off a 17-7 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hodgdon lost 16-3 to Southern Aroostook on Tuesday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hodgdon's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ashland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Ashland skirted past Hodgdon 6-4 when the teams last played on Wednesday. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
