Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss

St. Mary's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 43-34 to the Franklin Quakers.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Franklin, the win snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's Academy will welcome Sheldon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sheldon will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something St. Mary's Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin, they will host Hood River Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering Franklin has lost five straight at home (dating back to last season) and Hood River Valley three straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
