Baseball Recap: Christ Church Episcopal Gets the Win

Christ Church Episcopal came out on top against Pendleton on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Cavaliers had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 8-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cavaliers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Blake Foral, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was JW Whisenhunt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Christ Church Episcopal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Christ Church Episcopal's record now sits at 8-12. As for Pendleton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 14-13 record.

As of now, neither Christ Church Episcopal nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
