Make it four blowout wins for the Carolina M Mustangs this season. They blew past Emerson Waldorf 62-18 at home. That looming 62-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Carolina M yet this season.
Carolina M's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Catie Alexander, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Alexander scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Abigail Faison, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Carolina M pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Emerson Waldorf, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Carolina M will head out on the road to take on South Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Emerson Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 4:15 p.m. on February 8th.
