Preview: Spring Mountain Eagles vs. Indian Springs Thunderbirds
Spring Mountain is 10-0 against Indian Springs since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spring Mountain Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Indian Springs Thunderbirds at 5:20 p.m. on February 16th. Spring Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Indian Springs likes a good challenge.
Spring Mountain scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Round Mountain by a score of 82-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Indian Springs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 43-30 to Tonopah.
Spring Mountain pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Indian Springs, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Spring Mountain against Indian Springs when the teams last played two weeks ago as the squad secured a 64-30 victory. Does Spring Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Indian Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
