Basketball Game Preview: DASH United vs. Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals

DASH is 0-10 against Southeastern HomeSchool since December of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The United will be home for the holidays to greet the Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. DASH has given up an average of 53.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, DASH ended up a good deal behind Chatham HomeSchool and lost 67-53.

Meanwhile, Southeastern HomeSchool's contest on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against Durham Flight HomeSchool as they made off with a 64-42 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

DASH better keep an eye on Max Brutus. He was instrumental in Southeastern HomeSchool's win, going 14-for-21 to rack up 29 points and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brutus has scored at least a third of the Cardinals' points. Another player making a difference was Beckett Tilly, who posted nine points and three steals.

Southeastern HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They are 8-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

DASH's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Southeastern HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

DASH was taken down by Southeastern HomeSchool 86-39 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the United were down 48-24.
