Lytle is 9-1 against Dilley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Lytle is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

On Tuesday, Lytle made easy work of Cotulla and carried off a 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Lytle got a massive performance out of Mason Hill, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Toby Davila was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lytle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Dilley's offense. They lost 12-0 to Hondo on Tuesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dilley's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lytle, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6-1.

Dilley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lytle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for Dilley, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Lytle's hitters?

Everything went Lytle's way against Dilley in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Lytle made off with an 18-2 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
