The Bartram Trail Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Bartram Trail didn't have quite enough to beat Baldwin and fell 3-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rommeney Patrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hailey Allen was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Snyder, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Hilliard 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted against the Red Flashes since February 22, 2021.
Chloe Gotto made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Gotto was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Williamson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Bishop Snyder's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bartram Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bartram Trail has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Snyder struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bartram Trail took their win against Bishop Snyder in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 12-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bartram Trail since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
