Volleyball Recap: Livingston's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Livingston's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Johansen Vikings. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Livingston had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-18, 25-21.

Mia Lopez paced Livingston's offense, picking up ten kills. Lopez got some help from Noelani Hocson and her 13 assists. Aimee Aguilar Briones controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Livingston's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16. As for Johansen, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Livingston will take on Pacheco at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johansen, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ceres at 6:30 p.m. on October 6.
