Softball Recap: Waterloo Comes Up Short

Waterloo was the 4-2 winner over Mineral Ridge when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams on Monday. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Waterloo's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Mineral Ridge, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

While Waterloo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
