Volleyball Recap: North Star Takes a Loss

North Star was the 2-0 winner over Forest Hills when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers on Saturday.

Forest Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiera Smith, who had 20 assists. Those 20 assists gave Smith a new career-high. Adalynne Webb was another key player, getting six kills, three digs, and one block.

North Star's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Forest Hills, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

North Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cambria Heights on the 23rd. As for Forest Hills, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against River Valley on the 23rd.
