Baseball Recap: Kent Denver Comes Up Short

Kent Denver came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 18-3 to the Elizabeth Cardinals. The loss was the Sun Devils' first of the season.

Joseph Covell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-1. Zachary Kroner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kent Denver's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-1.

Kent Denver wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-5 win against Roaring Fork on the 14th. As for Elizabeth, they will take on Deer Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
