Volleyball Recap: Linn's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Linn entered their tilt with North Callaway on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Linn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-9.

Carley Brandt paced Linn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Brandt got some help from Nicole Grellner and her 14 assists. Grellner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Linn's victory bumped their record up to 16-7-3. As for North Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8-2.

Linn has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Russellville on the 9th. As for North Callaway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against New Bloomfield on the 9th.
