Charlotte Catholic won the last time they faced Piedmont and Dani Lupinski did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cougars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 55-34 victory on Friday thanks in part to Lupinski, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. She is becoming a predictor of Charlotte Catholic's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 10-11 when she doesn't).

Piedmont's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Conway, who posted 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Taylor LeGrand, who earned nine points.

The win got Charlotte Catholic back to even at 12-12. As for Piedmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Charlotte Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-42 loss against Cuthbertson on the 17th. As for Piedmont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-25 defeat against Weddington on the 17th.
