Sherwood Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 73-39 victory over Vidalia Heritage Academy. Sherwood Christian Academy is really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.

Sherwood Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tripp Roberts out in front who threw for 438 yards and eight TDs while picking up 19.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 35 yards. Sherwood Christian Academy's leading receiver Qwinton Murray was Roberts' top target yet again, picking up 301 receiving yards and five scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sherwood Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards.
