Basketball Game Preview: Livingston Wolves vs. Hilmar Yellowjackets

Livingston is on a four-game streak of home losses, Hilmar an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Livingston Wolves will host the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Livingston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Lathrop.

Meanwhile, Hilmar had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 win over Orestimba on Friday.

Livingston better focus on containing Juelle Lindo and Aaron Solorio as the pair were huge in Hilmar's win. Lindo went 9 for 14 en route to 23 points, while Solorio went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and five steals. Those 23 points gave Lindo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cohen Felber, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Hilmar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Livingston's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Hilmar, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-13.

Livingston beat Hilmar 74-66 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Hilmar's Xavier Silveira, who had 20 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Livingston still be able to contain Silveira? There's only one way to find out.
