Volleyball Game Preview: Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes vs. Crab Orchard Trojans

The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes will head out to challenge the Crab Orchard Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Zeigler-Royalton has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Crab Orchard will arrive with five straight victories.

On Tuesday, Zeigler-Royalton came up short against Wayne City and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Crab Orchard was able to grind out a solid win over Thompsonville on Tuesday, taking the game 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Crab Orchard took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-13.

Zeigler-Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Crab Orchard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Zeigler-Royalton beat Crab Orchard 2-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
