Baseball Recap: Triton Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Beech Grove last Thursday, Triton Central came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Friday, falling 19-7. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Triton Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Weston Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Triton Central fell to 2-1. As for Shelbyville, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Triton Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Providence on the 12th. As for Shelbyville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Southport at 5:30 p.m.
