Baseball Recap: Garinger Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sugar Creek Charter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garinger). Everything went their way against Sugar Creek Charter on Thursday as Garinger made off with a 16-5 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Garinger as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ramphy Rodr?guez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Garinger's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8-1. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

As for Sugar Creek Charter, they will challenge Queen's Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen's Grant has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something Sugar Creek Charter will no doubt try to take advantage of.
