Sanger had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Immanuel Eagles 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Apaches in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Sanger took Immanuel into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 15-6.

Sofia Aguilar paced Sanger's offense, picking up 12 kills. Aguilar got some help from Ashlyn Ainger and her nine assists. Finally, Julia Johnson kept Sanger's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Sanger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Exeter on the 14th. As for Immanuel, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Yosemite on the 14th.
