Basketball Game Preview: University Tigers vs. Lake County Falcons

The University Tigers and the Lake County Falcons will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (University has four straight wins, Lake County has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for University against City University School of Liberal Arts as the squad secured an 81-12 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 36 points or more this season.

University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edniya White, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten steals. White has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalina Lambert, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals.

University was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as City University School of Liberal Arts only posted three assists.

Meanwhile, Lake County played a tough contest two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 67-27 loss at the hands of Westview. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

University's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Lake County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
