Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Rockford East

For the first time this season, Jefferson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Rockford East E-Rabs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson will be strutting in after a victory while Rockford East will be coming in after a loss.

Jefferson is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against North Boone. Jefferson blew past North Boone 7-1 last Tuesday. Sydney Stovall was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to DeKalb.

Jefferson beat Rockford East 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will Jefferson repeat their success, or does Rockford East has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
