Football Game Preview: Trinity Christian vs. Pinewood

Pinewood have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Saturday they take on Trinity Christian at Pacific Grove at 2:00 PM. If the game is anything like the 48-38 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

Things haven't been easy for Pinewood, and their contest two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to three. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 20-44 walloping at Anzar's hands. Despite the loss, Pinewood saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Eric Burton accumulated 139 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. This was the 3rd matchup in a row in which Budge had over 100 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Trinity Christian and Woodside Priory last Friday, but Trinity Christian stepped up in the second half. Trinity Christian took their match against Woodside Priory 25-18. The success made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian.

Trinity Christian's win lifted them to 2-4 while Pinewood's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll see if Trinity Christian's success rolls on or if Pinewood are able to steal their positive momentum.
