Basketball Recap: Lake Catholic Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Lake Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime match against Madison on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 63-53 to the Madison Blue Streaks. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Blue Streaks: they've now lost four in a row.

Lake Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Lake Catholic will challenge Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lake Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madison, they are taking a road trip to challenge Conneaut at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
