Volleyball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Bingham Miners

The Weber Warriors will face off against the Bingham Miners at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Weber is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Fremont by a score of 3-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Silverwolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Weber had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Weber found their leader in freshman Seth Cook, who had 11 digs and two aces. Cook has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last nine times he's played. Dallin Hurd was another key player, getting 16 digs.

Weber couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 58% of their attack attempts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hitting percentage total in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Bingham waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win.

The victory got Weber back to even at 12-12. As for Bingham, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
