Baseball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against West Springfield on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 9-8.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for West Springfield, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Freedom will be playing in front of their home fans against Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Springfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Alexandria City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
