Softball Recap: Dracut Comes Up Short

After flying high against Billerica Memorial on Monday, Dracut came back down to earth. The Middies lost 8-2 to the Tyngsborough Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Middies of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Dracut's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tyngsborough, they pushed their record up to 2-0-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dracut will venture away from home to challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tyngsborough, they will face off against Littleton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tyngsborough's pitchers better be ready for this one: Littleton has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
