Soccer Game Preview: Goldsboro vs. North Johnston

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Goldsboro challenge North Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goldsboro has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while North Johnston will come in with six straight victories.

Goldsboro managed to keep up with South Lenoir until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Goldsboro came up short against South Lenoir, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, North Johnston kept a clean sheet against Beddingfield on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for North Johnston, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Sydney Daughtry and Mia Davis scored all three of North Johnston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

North Johnston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Goldsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2.
