Basketball Recap: Lauren Berg Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bonner Springs

Baldwin won the last time they faced Bonner Springs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Baldwin Bulldogs secured a 39-35 W over the Bonner Springs Braves. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Braves are ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Baldwin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Berg led the charge by putting up seven points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Cami Collum, who posted eight points.

Baldwin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Bonner Springs, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Tonganoxie the next time they take the court. Baldwin will host Tonganoxie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Bonner Springs will host them on Friday.
