Baseball Game Preview: Ceres Bulldogs vs. Livingston Wolves

For the second straight game, Ceres will face off against Livingston. The Bulldogs will welcome the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ceres' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Livingston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ceres is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Livingston on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

For Livingston's part, Zack Duran was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The Wolves are 2-1 when Duran posts three or more hits, but 7-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Payton Nisse, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The win snapped Livingston's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-16 record. As for Ceres, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
