Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Victory Christian Academy and Sagemont squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Victory Christian Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Sagemont Prep, falling 84-59. The Storm's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was MJ McCalla, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds McCalla has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Tucker Fox, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 16 points.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Sagemont, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-8.

As of now, neither Victory Christian Academy nor Sagemont have any future games scheduled.
